Urban Magic : Art in the structure of our environment. Many of these images are from downtown San Diego. I'm fascinated by the reflections in the many glass surfaces. What is real? And what is reflection? Some of these show my love of texture in our environment - brick, concrete, wood, plaster. These photos are easier to take than people, as you don't have to tell them to hold still!

About the Photographer : About the Photographer I've been fascinated by photography for many years, but only began serious shooting in 2009. Beginning with nature photography, I found myself branching out in all directions. My current favorite subject is portraiture. Check out the Portraits section for the newest images. Architecture is also fascinating to photograph, especially with all the reflections in glass. Nothing like a Sunday morning with the camera in downtown San Diego. Much of my work has attention to texture. Whether in a leaf, a face, or a brick wall, texture catches my attention. I'm currently shooting with a Canon 60D, using the kit 18-135 zoom, a Canon 1.4 50 mm, and my new Tamron SP 17-50 2.8 zoom. Yes, some adjustments are made in Adobe Lightroom, and Photoshop Elements. Heck, that can be half the fun! If you like my photos, some credit must go to Rod and Robin Deutschmann of the San Diego In Focus Learning Center. The best teachers you could ask for.
